Arapahoe Basin Ski Region (A-Basin) will re-open its lifts for a bonus weekend of skiing and snowboarding Friday, June ten through Sunday, June twelve, 2016. The Black Mountain Express and Lenawee Mountain lifts will operate from 8:thirty a.m. to 2:thirty p.m., with top-to-bottom skiing. Sunday, June 12, 2016, will be Arapahoe Basin’s official closing day for the 2015-sixteen season.
“This spring has been best for sustaining our snow surface in terms of the temperatures and timing of our snowfall,” stated Alan Henceroth, Arapahoe Basin’s Chief Working Officer. “I am thrilled that we’re ready to offer skiing and snowboarding to our visitors nicely into June.”
Arapahoe Basin opened the 2015-16 season on October 29, 2015, one of the initial ski areas in North America to open and keep open for the duration of the season. This season, the ski spot has obtained about 300 inches of organic snow.
Skier services will be obtainable commencing at eight:00 a.m. on Friday, June ten. Guest Services, which includes lift tickets & passes, misplaced-and-located and rental companies can be located in the Winter Sports activities Constructing (Rental Store). The A-Frame base lodge will be closed for development for the duration of the bonus extension weekend all food and beverage services will be primarily based out of Black Mountain Lodge (located at mid-mountain, accessible by foot or skis by way of the Black Mountain Express lift) starting at ten:thirty a.m.
