Orlando, FL – Jobe Sports USA announced today that Rob Stimmel has joined their team. He and his crew will be handling all Jobe Sports USA sales in the U.S. & Puerto Rico, so look for them from Seattle to San Diego, Boston to Orlando and everywhere in between.
Rob returns to the Jobe brand with over 30 years of sales experience – Rob Stimmel was heavily involved with the initial planning of the Jobe brand. He was VP of Worldwide Sales & Marketing during the 80′s & 90′s. He also created the BoardStock event series and managed these from 1996 till 2007. “The Jobe Sports International management and staff have done an amazing job in making Jobe the biggest watersports brand internationally, and broadening its product line even further.” Jobe now offers products in 7 disciplines of watersports: wakeboarding, water skiing, kneeboarding, SUP, jet skiing, tubing and bare footing. Wake surfing will be added to this list, with Jobe’s very first wake surf boards to be presented at this year’s Surf EXPO! “With this year’s return to its home market, Jobe has made aggressive moves back to its original roots in the US. The brand has not only come full circle, but is well on the way to achieving its mission of becoming a well-respected name in the U.S. and worldwide watersports industries,” said Rob Stimmel.
“All of us are really excited Rob has joined the Jobe Sports USA team. He brings a tremendous amount of watersports sales experience to our company, and will be a great addition to our team. Our goal is to continue to build our U.S. presence by offering the most diverse product line in the industry, and starting the expansion of an ever-growing dealer network,” said Jobe Sports USA General Manager Sophie Teitelbaum.
About JOBE
Originated in the USA, the Jobe brand was founded over 30 years ago by American skier Jeff Jobe from Seattle, Washington. Jeff was always looking way outside the box to find ways to make his skis perform better. With some bad weather and possibly some bad Mexican food in hand, he started philosophizing about his future and decided to develop a water ski with his name on it. After a period of producing blood, sweat, and tears, he had finally manufactured the first Jobe slalom skis. Eventually industry leading features like three phase textured bottoms, a hyper parabolic design and even a honeycomb construction lead him to the Jobe Honeycomb slalom. This ski was an immediate success, rocketing Jobe Skis to the forefront of the worldwide water skiing market.
While Jobe was founded on high end slalom water skis, it grew to include many other watersports products as well. After coming into Dutch hands in 2007, Jobe has grown to be the biggest watersports brand internationally, broadening its product line even further and developing an international team of athletes.
There’s no doubt the Jobe brand has come a long way, but from our perspective we’re just getting started…and the best is yet to come!
